An easy one - I hope!!
I have a friend who won't buy Pringles chips, etc... because they are made by Proctor and Gamble - who alledgedly have satanic / coven connections. I am sure I read somewhere (could be here in FT) that it is an urban myth of sorts... Can anyone help me find out more??

Yes, according to the company website, it is a myth. Check out their response at:

This has been around 20 years or more. It's a crock. Most likely started by mean-spirited competition, and gossipy people picked up the ball and ran with it. The type of people who believe anything that's bad about anyone and work like hell to spread it.

Pure bunk.

Thankyou mentor and gunslinger!! I never thought to actually look at the company website - and it's very informative.

I agree that it was obviously started by those with nothing better to do with their time than sink to name-calling and finger-pointing. It is amazing though that such a rumour has lasted this long.

I will forward this to my friend so she can start munching on Pringles again with a clear conscience!!

Here are a couple of cool sites which may be useful for future reference....
www.urbanlegends.com www.datafellows.com/news/hoax.htm

The second one is for computer viruses; you can verify if a warning you received is legitimate or not (particularly if, like me, you have a well-meaning friend who is frequently sending you virus alerts!!!)
