Downy Woodpecker that's been a regular visitor this year.

I'm bummed that our local FS is tearing down this old out building they used for storing seed. The wood is all in great shape inside and it's wide open. Could be used for weddings or dances. Rent it out for parties. I just hope they reuse as much wood as they can and not just turn it into sawdust.

Clevedon Pier at the town of Clevedon on the Severn Estuary.

The Poet Laureate, Sir John Betjeman, described the pier as "The most beautiful pier in England" and in 2001 the pier was awarded Grade One Listing status.

Clevedon Pier was constructed during the 1860s and is 312 metres in length. At high tide the walkway is approx 48 feet above the surface of the water. As you walk along the pier, you will notice a multitude of brass plates of varying sizes, all inscribed with a name, or names. These plates have been purchased by visitors and supporters of the voluntary work that goes into maintaining this important and wonderful landmark.

There's a unique shape to every tree so whenever I see one on its own I try and catch it, with or without leaves.

Clevedon Pier again...

This is the Pavilion at the end of the pier with our grand-daughter running on ahead to order her ice-cream!

In my previous post, I mentioned the many thousands of small plaques sold by the Pier Trust to help pay for it's maintenance; in this image you can clearly see these little brass plaques on both the walkway and on the side bench seating.
