Good to know people do read things here

Manchester City wins the title, as their closest rivals and LeoDaVinci's favourite team slip twice in a row (thanks to playing 3 matches in 5 days!)....Liverpool is still on target for a top 4 finish after Chelsea lost too, to Arsenal.

The mid-week round caught a lot of us by surprise here I guess...only 9 of us lodged picks. Dizart rejoins N-Bomb at the top of the ladder.....he has the better tie-break (more HoFs) too at this point. Can Sypher or gtho4 surprise srini701 for the last podium place? The last 2 rounds here promise to be fascinating...

The interest over the last 2 rounds is probably only over the 3rd and 4th places....Chelsea extracted revenge for their FA cup loss by beating Leicester, while Liverpool also won...Liverpool and Leicester as a point behind Chelsea.

srini701 takes the bronze medal in our comp, but the fight for the top spot goes to the final round. Let's see if Dizart plays it safe, or if N-Bomb can surprise him one final time...wwe84 makes it a hat-trick of spoons for himself, while LeoDaVinci has one final round to plug the last remaining blank in the HoF column...

An action-packed final day of the season all 10 matches produce goals and outright results. Champions Manchester City impressed their fans at home, thrashing Everton, while Manchester United became only the fourth team in the history of English top-flight football to go a full season unbeaten away from home. Only Preston North End (1888/89) and Arsenal (2001/02 and 2003/04) have achieved the same feat in the past, as Manchester United extend their unbeaten away record to 26 games. Liverpool won their final game to take 3rd spot, while Chelsea takes the final automatic spot in next season's Champions League despite losing to Aston Villa. Leicester City failed for the second season in a row to win their final game of the season to secure a Champions League spot. West Ham finished sixth and get a spot in the Europa League, while Tottenham, who beat Leicester, finish 7th and a place in the new Europa Conference League that starts next season.

Dizart stopped N-Bomb from completing a hat-trick of title wins here. N-Bomb, who defaulted the final round, will have the satisfaction of having stayed 1st or 2nd the whole season! srini701 limps to a bronze medal, after taking one of the four spoons in the final round. Sypher and gtho4 finished strongly, but it wasn't enough to get them to the podium. LeoDaVinci is the only player in our comp to not win weekly honours and it is now 41 rounds since he's tasted success in this comp.

wwe84 takes the honours for the season in both weekly winners and spoons. He finishes with a whopping 15 spoons to go with his 9 honours. Dizart (8), srini701, Sypher, Fifiona81 (all 7) finished with most winners medals, while toocool4u (11) and Fifiona81 (10) give wwe84 a run for the spoon collection. dg_dave was MIA for most of the season.
