At the 1996 Cricket World Cup there were two major upsets.
Firstly, Kenya, who have yet to be recognised as being good enough to gain Test status, defeated one of THE cricket powers, West Indies, by 73 runs, restricting the Calypso Kids to a paltry 93 runs.
There was more to come with Sri Lanka, the new kids on the block, comfortably defeating the powerful Australian team in the Final... (How embarrassing!)
