Has anyone seen this fantastic movie? I really think it is the best movie I have seen in years. If you haven't seen it then I think you need to.

Excellent movie! Definitely a "thumbs up" in my book.

And, I understand that it's the sleeper hit of the summer. It's one of those movies that just works. It's kind of like the classic movies in the heyday of Hollywood in that it's a sweet story that doesn't have any hidden agenda or surprise to it. It's just a good movie that appeals to a lot of people. It's one that you can take your grandma to see and not be worried.

The acting is great.

And, I hear that sales of Windex have increased since the movie came out! LOL! (You gotta admit that the possibility of its being a cure-all is interesting! Kind of makes you want to test it out!)

I heard they're planning a sequel. I hope so.

We took the mother-in-law out of the nursing home and took her to the premiere, wheelchair and all. Even our kids enjoyed it, it's cack! Haven't had a good laugh in ages. What the cousins did to the groom is true .. my cousin married a pommie back in the mid-80s, and he got paid out at the engagement in exactly the same way. There are a few differences between Greek-Americans and Greek-Australians .. my cousins don't carry on like that! Well, not all the time ..

Have now seen this movie three times. Everyone I know wants to see it, and I have no problem giving my money to support this one - I figure that, if Hollywood starts seeing that this is the kind of movie that makes money, they will make more like it! The last time I saw it, I was with people that had seen it before as well, so I know of a lot of people that are going multiple times.

I saw a show that Oprah did on the movie. She had Nia and her whole family (including the real Nicky!) on. Nia read a letter that Tom Hanks wrote to her (Tom's wife, Rita, is the one that got the ball rolling as far as getting this on screen.). It was the most beautiful letter. It was about men who marry Greek women and how wonderful and fulfilled their lives become. Basically, it was more of a love letter to his own wife, as Rita is Greek.

I plan to buy this one when it comes out on DVD.

Hollywood, are you listening?!

I've seen this movie twice now. One of the best I've seen in a very long time. Yes, Linda1 it would be wonderful if the movie makers would take note and make more like this.

It has been at our local movie (we have 54! screens in my town) for ages. A lot longer than any of the other movies. With so many screens that's a good sign that it is an excellent movie. I haven't laughed so hard in ages.
