As these early rounds are badly affected by covid-19 and all mixed up with many games postponed or brought forward I shall not start off with game write ups yet. It is tricky just to work out what has happened and I am getting more and more confused. A travel bubble opened up so thw Wellington Phoenix get to play their final 2 home games in New Zealand.
Round 25 comprises all of the 6 games of the rejigged Round 25.
srini701 was running on default fuel this round.
It was a very good round by A-League standards as we went 40/60 for a 66.66% strike rate. There was only one perfect game with all of us tipping Melbourne City to beat Central Coast. The draw between Perth and Macarthur was the trickiest to tip and only Sypher and George95 picked it, the rest of us had Perth to win at home.
We had three weekly winners this round as Sypher, George95 and N-Bomb all went 5/6. A solo spoon was handed out to wwe84 who will be pleased he has such a big lead after back-to-back spoons.
wwe84's lead at the top is cut to 8 points with 2 rounds remaining though he will not be caught, gtho4 moves a further point ahead of ozzz2002 in second while paper_aero and N-Bomb both catch up with ozzz2002 in 3rd. There will be a big fight for the final podium place and gtho4 does not have second place secure. George95 is now 6 points clear of the defaulting srini701 at the bottom.

There were no perfect games with the closest being Macarthur's win at Western United which saw seven correct tips. The trickiest games to tip were Melbourne Victory's demolition of Western United (ozzz2002 and Sypher) and the draw between Wellington and Perth (wwe84 and Sypher).
We had a solo weekly winner this round as ozzz2002 went 4/5. There was also a solo spoon awarded to George95 who went 0/5.
wwe84's lead at the top moves back out to 9 points with 1 round remaining though he will not be caught unless someone goes perfect with a lot of bonus points and wwe84 gets 0, gtho4 is caught by ozzz2002 in the battle for second and third with N-Bomb just a point back, ozzz2002 and N-Bomb have identical tie-breaks with gtho4 lagging behind in this aspect. George95 is still 6 points clear of the defaulting srini701 at the bottom.

srini701 was running on default fuel this round. N-Bomb and ozzz2002 missed the Adelaide vs Western Sydney game due to late tips.
It was another reasonable round by A-League standards as we went 24/58 for a 41.37% strike rate. There were no perfect games with the closest being Central Coast's win over Western United which only Sypher missed. The trickiest games to tip were Adelaide's draw with Western Sydney which saw LeoDaVinci earn his first bonus point of the season and Melbourne Victory's draw with Melbourne City where Sypher picked up his third bonus point.
We finish the season with six weekly winners who all went 3/6. The final 2 spoons go to paper_aero and N-Bomb who went 1/6 and 1/5 respectively.
wwe84's lead was never threatened over the final 13 rounds and he ends with a comprehensive 9 point victory. In the battle for second place, gtho4 was helped by ozzz2002 and N-Bomb not getting their tips in on time and he finishes on the second step of the podium. That leaves the final podium place which went to ozzz2002 after N-Bomb's wooden spoon effort. George95 finishes 7 points clear of the defaulting srini701 at the bottom.
A dominating performance from wwe84 this season as he only spent 1 of the 21 rounds out of the lead and ends with a huge lead. The defending champion was ozzz2002 and he finished in third place with gtho4 sandwiched in the middle. After a run of 5 podiums in a row, N-Bomb finishes off the podium this time in fourth place. Thank you to all that tipped and congratulations to the three on the podium. Can any one take the title away from wwe84? We shall find out soon when the next edition of the A-League tipping competition kicks-off though the start may be delayed with Wellington Phoenix only now being able to start training and they still have to get to Australia where they will be based again for a large part of the season.
