To add to that, I see you as a winner for Piece of Cake, 9am and Threewood for the 8am set of the same game. I can't say whether a guest scored highly in either set because that data is not kept.

Are you saying that 50/50 is not scoring a registered winner when a guest is first place and Easy game is doing that?

We did change Easy/Mixed/Smartest a while ago to cure a mismatch between the reported player count for the "over all divisions" badges. However I would feel that "there is no registered winner if a guest scored higher" would be the more correct interpretation.

I believe I have gotten credit for a win point before when beaten by a "guest". I don't know about any final percentages.

It would seem fair that the highest scoring registered player should win a tournament. A guest could be anyone including a very seasoned player who either didn't want to play under their profile or maybe they are an expert who somehow has never been on FT. So they may be unfairly above the skill of the other players in the lowest bracket. If the "guest" were to count as the winner, maybe they should go in the highest group instead of the lowest.

I do find it interesting that about half of the players of my new quizzes are "guests" and there are a lot of them the first few days a quiz goes online. Maybe there are a lot of people who play on here that never want to set up a profile? Maybe some of the regular players want to get the quiz answers easy without tarnishing their profile stats? IDK it seems odd to me.

Anyway, I personally just enjoy the mental challenge of the trivia and don't worry too much about being uber-competitive. I don't worry too much about what others do, but would probably feel cheated if I had a great score and a "guest" in division 1 had close to the best score across all divisions, far better than a traditional division 1 score. That has happened to me before but I still got the win point, I believe.

That happens to *all* the new quizzes. A Guest finds the FunTrivia homepage. There are some hourly games they can play. They look around to see what else the website offers. Oh look! There's a list of quizzes! Guest plays the listed quizzes. The listed quizzes happen to be new quizzes. It's not a big mystery.

The intent is for guests to be ignored when determining who wins. "Guests" are supposed to be for players to get a quick taste of the site, and are not really competing with "real" players.

This wasn't working correctly in 50/50. It has been fixed.

I just won 1st place on Who's the Smartest level 1 and didn't get the point. I had 119 points before the game ended and it's still at 119. I had 902 points in the game and a guest had 912. It was the 9 o'clock hr & the category was Television.

Sorry was looking at the wrong number. I had 124 points and it did change to 125. Again sorry. On my new iPad some pages the print is small and hard to tell which numbers belongs to which person
