April 8-11, 2021

The Golf Majors are back after a year's break! Augusta hosts the first of 2021's golf majors, the Masters. Hoping to see some good enthusiasm here too

The Rules
1. Everyone will pick 5 golfers.

2. We may have a maximum of 2 golfers from the top 10 of world rankings as of April 1, 2021 in our fivesomes. The current top 10 is:

1 Dustin Johnson (USA)
2 Justin Thomas (USA)
3 Jon Rahm (ESP)
4 Collin Morikawa (USA)
5 Bryson DeChambeau (USA)
6 Xander Schauffele (USA)
7 Patrick Reed (USA)
8 Tyrrell Hatton (ENG)
9 Webb Simpson (USA)
10 Patrick Cantlay (USA)

3. The lowest 4 total scores from each tipper’s fivesome will be added together to make the final score, and the lowest total score wins.

4. If one of your golfers fails to make the cut, his score from the first two rounds will be doubled to account for his final two rounds.
-A golfer must finish the first two rounds in order for his score to be counted towards the total

Tiebreaker
The lowest score from each tipper’s fifth golfer will serve as the tiebreaker. Should that be the same, it will go to the fourth-highest score and so on.

Deadline: First tee time, 8 am EDT, which would be 6 AM FT time, Thursday 8 April.

Hideki Matusyama becomes the first ever man from Japan to win a golf major, finishing a stroke ahead of majors debutant Will Zalatoris. Justin Rose started in a blistering fashion before eventually finishing tied 7th.

Some of the biggest names in the game, including defending champion and world no.1 Dustin Johnson failed to even make the weekend cut. Other big names crashing out after the first 2 rounds included Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka and Jason Day.

Our tipping comps returned after an year's absence. Dizart was the last winner of a golf major here, but it was a 2-man race this time between wwe84 and LeoDaVinci. Both had some smart picks, but wwe84 eventually finished a stroke ahead for a well-deserved title win. Howie72 takes the bronze a good 12 strokes behind Leo. Our own golf debutant Llynfi didn't have a good outing, finishing with the spoon on a tie-break with Dizart.

We had 24 players amongst us all, of whom 6 players did not even make the cut. Only 3 of our picks finished in the top 10. The All-Not Taken Team consisted of Hideki Matsuyama, Will Zalatoris,Xander Schauffele, and Marc Leishman, who would have totaled 1120 and would have won our comp by a whopping 17 strokes!

The next major is the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island (Ocean Course) from May 20-23. Hoping to see you all then...
