We have just heard that former Administrator Romeomikegolf (often known as RMG) - Bob, sadly died in January 2020. Bob was our administrator in the Chat Boards for some time.

RIP Bob.

So sorry to hear this. That makes two former staff members I've heard about passing recently.

RIP RMG. :'(

I met Bob when he joined our original Joliettes team and, like most people in that team, we became friends. We progressed from being strangers with a common interest in quizzing to meeting up as a group for week-ends away. We have a lot to thank this site for.

Bob was proud of his family and loved his beautiful German Shepherd dogs. He had a great sense of humour and would be tickled to read that he died over 100 years ago.

His death was sudden and unexpected.

That's a shame. He disappeared from here some years ago, and then from Facebook and I did wonder where he'd gone. I missed meeting him once when Terry came to Oxford and a bunch of people met there, he wasn't that close to London at the time so didn't get another chance.

I'm not good at writing these things.

I liked RMG. I first talked to him my first year here. It went from player asking admin for help to chatting about ideals we shared and more conversation. I still spoke to him a couple of times a year. I was saddened when he stepped back from working so much as an admin here. He treated all users of this website equally and could be trusted. Plus, he was an interesting person to talk to.

The world is a lesser place without him.

How sad frown He was a good leader on the chat boards and an all round pleasant guy. He made a really positive contribution to the site and will be missed.
