Thank You for any replies.

If you look at the main menu items across the top of the forums screen you will see a link to "My Stuff" and a small arrow pointing downwards.

Click on the arrow to get a list of options and select "Edit profile".
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the appropriate radio button.
Either paste in the URL of the image you want to use or choose a stock image.
Click on "Submit"

This doesn't always work for me in Chrome so if at first you don't succeed, try Firefox. smile

I hope this helps.

PS. Please don't use bold or coloured fonts for the whole of your messages in the Forums - bold should only be used for emphasis, and colours make the text harder to read for some users.

So I went to Firefox and Internet Explorer and I still can't get my avatar picture on the forums to change, I noticed it says select the radio button next to the option you are using to change your image but I don't see any radio button on google chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Internet Explorer

Your avatar in the forums is the same one as the one on your Funtrivia profile.

Danny, are you using a phone or a computer? Please give details of the operating system, and browser version(s) you're using.

Try this link:

https://www.funtrivia.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/editbasic

Also, you need to have the avatar hosted somewhere.

On the quiz side of the site you can upload a photo from your own computer. It actually states that the site no longer links to external sites for hosted avatars and that your avatar will be hosted on FT itself once it's set up. On this side, the forum side, that option doesn't seem to exist, but if you right click on your picture and open it in a new tab you'll see the FT address where it's stored and be able to copy it over to here via the instructions flopsymopsy has given.

And if anyone cares, I only worked this out after reading this thread having tried on numerous occasions to change my own avatar in the forums from a stock one to the one I really wanted. So thank you Danny5 for asking the question which gave me that light bulb moment.

Also, sorry to flopsy for not asking her!

In the normal address bar at the top of the screen. Mine shows funtriiva.com/img and ends jpg. Having looked at it again, it seems likely that this is only works for gold members.
