It's an Italy v England final. After 55 long years England are playing in a major final .. and they did it the hard way, coming from a goal down to beat Denmark 2-1 aet. The Denmark goal, which came from a set piece, was the the first conceded by England at Euro 2020.
Six of 15 were this round's winners and two of us collected a wooden spoon each.
Sypher and wwe84 retain their #1 and #2 spots at the top of the pile. They've now put 2 pts between themselves and the next four, who are separated by a single point.
The first six are separated by a mere 2 pts (down from the first nine in the previous round). From there we have a gap of 2 pts to the rest of us. With just one round left, the first six are now separated by 4 pts (double the 2 pts separating them at the end of the previous round). The three medallists should emerge from these six.

If England win Euro 2020, we're still looking at Sypher winning this. He went out on a limb picking England to win the final vs Italy (fwiw gtho4 did likewise). On the other hand, wwe84 in 2nd place is running dead, with no live picks x3 .. ditto N-Bomb in equal 3rd place.
Fifiona81 has picked England to lose the final vs Italy. That's 4 points (at least) that the two in front of her don't have. If Italy win she'll be a point behind Sypher, with the remaining 2 points to be determined by their HT and FT picks in the final round.
Howie72, who's equal 5th, has Italy winning the final against Germany, which is a maximum of 5 points and a minimum of three. He won't catch Fifiona81 but he can mow down Sypher .. paper_aero, who's also equal 5th, has no live pick for the winner.
The Euro 2020 final will be played at 8:00pm Sunday night at Wembley: Euro 2020 [9] Sun 11 July *FINAL*. If the unthinkable happens and it's an England win, get yourself to London. Sypher's buying the drinks!

It wasn't meant to be. England lost their first-ever appearance in a Euro final in a penalty shoot-out. Their first-ever appearance in a World Cup final (55 years ago), ended in a win after extra time vs. West Germany (it was also played at Wembley).
This was England's seventh loss in nine Euro or World Cup shootouts:
W.C. 1990: lost 4-3 vs. West Germany
Euro 1996: won 4-2 vs. Spain
Euro 1996: lost 6-5 vs. Germany
W.C. 1998: lost 4-3 vs. Argentina
Euro 2004: lost 6-5 vs. Portugal
W.C. 2006: lost 3-1 vs. Portugal
Euro 2012: lost 4-2 vs. Italy
W.C. 2018: won 4-2 vs. Colombia
Euro 2020: lost 3-2 vs. Italy
Italy extended their undefeated streak to 34 games. Two more and they will establish an all-time international record:
35 : 1993-1996 : Brazil
35 : 2007-2009 : Spain
34 : 2018-2021 : Italy
31 : 1991-1993 : Argentina
30 : 1935-1939 : Italy

As expected, Sypher won this. He had a comfortable margin at the finish post of 3 pts.
Fifiona81 and George95 were the final round winners. Fifiona81 won silver behind Sypher .. and for George95 it was his 3d straight win. Three rounds back he was at the rear of the field in 15th place. He finished 4th, missing the podium by 2 pts, with the best countback figures at 3-0 (+3).
Howie72 collected the bronze medal. He was down in 10th place in back in Round 3.

The defending titleholder from Euro 2016 was gtho4 (silver was won by srini701).

Our next international tipping comp will be the 2022 World Cup in Qatar which, like Euro 2020 which was postponed for a year, will be postponed by half a year to November-December (in winter rather than summer).
