I've just completed the Great Quiz Race II, and something has occurred to me. Don't know why I didn't ask it before. Sometimes when you pick a certain option, you get a message like:

"You've earned 999 points for arriving here!"

Well, that's all well and good, but I just looked at my daily FT points and it is well below 999. So are these points FT points, but added to the grand total while skipping the daily total? Or are these some other points related to the game?

Grand total. It’s done this way to avoid throwing people off for any precision-based point challenges.
