I was flipping channels the other day and saw a quick story on a Belgian Waffle stand whose owner put a replica of the "Mannequin [censored]" statue that is in Bruxelles outside his shop. For those of you who don't know the story of the statue... here it is:
A little boy was lost and the king (?) sent his men out to find him. Well, they found the boy. The king was so happy that he said he wanted a statue made of the boy just as he was when he was found. Well, you can guess what the little boy was doing. Anyway, it's one of the most famous things in Bruxelles and they even dress him up (there's a museum which houses all of the outfits the statue has worn).
Anyway, back to the Florida Waffle Stand... Apparently, people are up in arms over this statue because it has a little boy 'relieving' himself. And the owners of the property that the man has the waffle stand are saying that it violates his lease.
Anyway, what do you guys think? And has ANYONE seen this story on the 'net - I've been looking but can't find it, I want to forward it to a friend!
