I haven't any interest in motor racing, but I don't really think there's an analogy between "match fixing" in cricket and the Ferrari tactics in the Formula 1 championship.
In cricket the allegations are (in some cases) that players who are in the pay of gamblers have deliberately played to lose.
In the motor racing championships, if I understand Fosse4's post, a man who is already certain of the individual championship has allowed his fellow team member to finish ahead of him to give the team a better chance of the team title.
I don't see anything wrong with this. There doesn't seem to be any suggestion of bribery or corruption. Ferrari just seem to be making the optimum use of their resources. If one wants to find a cricketing analogy, it might be a case where the batting side needs runs quickly, and the captain orders a slow-scoring batsman to sacrifice his wicket.
