Due to "lay down arms" next year, March 15th will mark the end of Les Miserables' sixteen-year run in New York's Imperial Theater.

I read this the other day when it was announced. Out of all the news stories that day, this was the one that got to me the most, for some reason.

I love this musical. It and "Miss Saigon" are my absolute favorites (as they're both done by the same people, that's not surprising). This story strikes a chord within me every time I see it. I've seen it on Broadway as well as many of the touring companies. I've never seen a bad performance of it; it's always been perfect.

No more Grantaire.
