This electronic gadget has made an appearance on TV but just in case you haven't heard of, or seen, it I'll highlight it here.

The device clips behind the ear and gives an audible alarm should your head start to drop due to drowsiness. This could be very useful to stop sleepiness sneaking up when driving a vehicle on long distances.

Also it could be an asset to people like me who tend to doze off in front of the computer from time to time (does anyone else do that?).

I'd hope it includes a time delay to overcome the fact that you might want to nod your head occasionally or, in the car, bob it around in time to the rhythm of some music (buzz - buzz - buzzy - buzz! )

Talking of driving, does anyone have a personal breathalyzer? I had the opportunity to play with one once after a few pints.

It is surprising how long it takes the alcohol level in the body to drop enough before you can consider yourself sober. It's long after the time you feel as though you are.

I should think that using it must give a good idea of when your driving is as safe as it is when you are alcohol free. It would also stop you driving when you might feel OK but aren't.

I know one person who has bought a breathalyser, he has been banned from driving once so doesn't want to lose his licence again now he has finally got it back.
