Well, as one or two of ya'll may have noticed (or not) I have not been around for a few days. I'm dead in the water. Right now I'm on someone else's computer. (hope I don't kill it, too!) My computer went down Thursday. And all I did was try to open a PaperPort scan from a zip disc. Anyway, it came up with this Registry window and ------ who knows what I did.

Friday I had a professional working on it and thought we were set to go, but had to re-install Office Pro 2000 when it went down again. After trying to reinstall windows 98 twice more the bottom line is that the C drive is going to have to be formatted. Hopefully Monday I'll be back on line ready to aggravate all you lovely folks here at FunTrivia!

It's pretty much the nature of computers that one simple thing leads to it's downfall. I know all about that syndrome. I've been rather quiet myself lately for much the same sort of reason.

Looking on the bright side your computer will probably benefit greatly for a format and re-installation of software. It cures all ills and makes it run more efficiently.

I format mine every now and then as a matter of computer maintenance.

Glad to see you back June...I did notice...thought that real life needed you more...

Welcome to the Crash club! At first you may be irritated, then it is an event that you eagerly await (happens when you lose their mental equilbrium; e.g. - Moi ). I don't know but something's wrong with my computer - it hasn't crashed in 2 to 3 months! (Got to get it checked)
