A statement has been made from St Jame's Palace regarding the trial of Paul Burrel, the former butler of Diane, Princess of Wales. BBC Online cover the story

I don't know if further investigation is going to achieve any justice here. If Princess Dianas staff have souvenired personal possessions the chance of them finding anything now is very remote. Burrell is alledged to have taken some very private videos that could prove very embarrassing for the royals. If that's the case, then Paul Burrell is a very sad human being. For someone that was in such a trusted position and a so called friend...... well, the mind boogles. He should be charged with treason.

I heard a news report that an American network is considering using him to host a quiz show. 'The Butler Said' or something to that effect. From what I have seen on news reports the guy is a grub, yet once again a message is sent to the world that it's ok to do what you want, at anyones expense, and you will probably make a heap of money and become a celebrity. Super!
