How close were you to see your favorite celebrity? The closes I got to a celebrity was Jeff Hardy ! Right after his match at a House Show in Reading, I decide to move up a little closer as he was walking by our side. I took my hand and touch his upper right arm! I was so happy I bragged on about it the whole night. He waved at me and my sister from the the outside ringpost (tag match), when I stood up with my Jeff Hardy T-Shirt and her waving her sign.
I also got to shake Howard Finkel's hand that same night after the show was over. No big deal though.

My story is more of so close and yet so far. When they were filming "A League of Their Own", I lived in the next county over. But at that point in time I was trying to be "cool" (I guess) and not letting myself get into the craze like everyone else was. So, needless to say, now I look back and kick myself for missing out on Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Madonna, Rosie, PENNY MARSHALL! etc!

Then when they were filming "Hard Rain", I was in Chicago for 2 1/2 months, so I missed out on Morgan Freeman, Betty White, Ed Asner, Randy Quaid, Christian Slater, etc. Missing the opportunity to possibly meet Morgan Freeman is enough to make me pout. My sister would call every couple days with updates on all I missed.

I met Paul Newman, very nice guy. They were filming a bit of a film up in Oregon near my grandmother's home.
Henry Fonda, Lee Remick and Michael Sarrazin were all there too, but Paul Newman was the one who spoke to us and then we had our picture taken next to him.
He had an enormous Irish wolfhound running around, wonder if he still has those? They are really big dogs too.
He is a major animal lover though...and he filmed a birds of prey documentary up in Idaho with other relatives of mine, he's just a natural person with others. They all said he just fit in like the family.

I've met Roger Moore (before he was Bond) and Richie Blackmoor (from the group 'Deep Purple')

When I was about 17 they were filming the Kevin Costner Robin Hood film near where I lived. (This was in Wales, it was where they filmed the river and forest scenes.) I didn't find out til months later that my mother knew they were all staying in a hotel in the village, and that her colleague's daughter had got a job as a chambermaid there! Just when I was looking for a part-time job too! So I missed Kevin Costner, Christian Slater, & Morgan Freeman.....

I've met a whole host of complete non-entities. Su Pollard sticks in the memory the most, but there was also Anna Dawson (who? I hear you cry) and that little fat bloke called Roy (his surname escapes me - he was in "The Three Musketeers). I also met Errol Brown out of "Hot Chocolate" when I was young and he was famous.

and those are just the ones that I remember.
then again... I live in LA
so meeting stars is like totally blase to me by now
