Quite a few of the games are live on cable, but Ch9 has rights to certain matches, which, it can be assumed, won't be live.

Lot of high scores today
and the Aussie Armada setting sail tomorrow - I think Pakistan Vs Australia will be a much closer match than last time!

I didn't know which game to watch to be honest. Both were as good as each other, and Zimbabwe smashed Namibia all over the park, but they put up a brave face with their batting. After the rain came down, I had to settle for the SL v NZ game, and looking at it now, New Zealand face a big task to qualify, if they do not play against Kenya.

i remember posting (when I first Joined this forum) about making these minnows of cricket playing at this stage.
Other than the usual reasons (for giving them experience etc), I would be sad if someone scores the First ODI double Century against one of these teams.
It will be a great injustice to those players who played quite "out of this world" to get scores in excess of 175!

Today Wishart could have easily gone for it (he was on 120 odd after the 38th over- I seriously thought for a moment that he will score a double cent)

What a farce - the latest - England WILL not play their game in Harare - the latest latest - England MAY not play their game in Harare. The Latest-latest-latest no decision has been made regarding the England Team either playing or not playing their game in Harare but they will not be travelling as scheduled.
Latest-Latest-Latest-Latest -a final decision will be made tomorrow. Is everyone in authority really hoping that this (and the Kenya issue) will just go away! I personally do not think I'll be watching the game take place (and the England Team have my full backing if they pull out of playing)
It's just not Cricket (to coin a phrase!)

And New Zealand MAY be playing their game in Kenya, after all they now need the points since losing to Sri Lanka. And two Zimbabwe players wore black armbands to mourn the loss of democracy in their country. Uh-oh, Magabwe (sp?) will be happy with that!

Reports coming in here are that Shane Warne has failed a drugs test. Anybody has anything else?

yup, it was just on the news.

He's flying home today. He took a 'fluid tablet' before his comeback game in Aust. and then found out it was a banned substance. I got the impression that he wasn't actually tested but the Aust. mediacl and management put two and two together and worked out the mistake. You all know my feelings on Warney but I don't think it was intentional at all, even he isn't that dumb, but just a huge, HUGE, mistake.

Why is it that trouble just follows him around???

Mate, he did not take a test, as far as I can ascertain; he accidentally (what was the doctor thinking??) took some medication that was on the Banned list, and disqualified himself for the rest of the Cup.

Quick score update- Gilchrist out for 3, Hayden for 27 and Martyn a duck.. 3/52 on the 10th over!

WE've gone to the news so I've missed most of the start. 3/52! And Beavan isn't playing (is he?) to pull us out of the proverbial!

No Bev in this one.. Wasim was on a hat-trick, but Jimmy Maher survived. Wasim has all 3 wickets...

Did you know you can get 'live' scores at www.baggygreen.com

We're back after sitting through A Current Affair! Geez. 4/100!

Anyone else finding the scorecard hard to read? Too used to the channel nine one, I suppose, just seems very small.

Agreed. It is tough to read, but the upside it that Tony Greig seems to have put his white pen away

4/115..

Australia finished at 8/310! Symonds hit his maiden ODI century, and finished 145 n.o., off only 120 balls!

Canadiens - are you even aware that your team defeated Bangladesh - a test team? (It is the biggest upset win in this WC)
Just enquiring because Canada is well represnted in this forum and no-one chipped in so far on that

On a personal note, I would like to state that we (Indians)
are withdrawing from competiting with Aussies, Pakis and the rest - our new rivals are the Dutch (well playedguys), the Namibians, the lesothans and Timbaktoians.

On another note, Kiwi - Windies will test the former's resolve, hehehe (evil smile)

And got to admit, the Aussies are getting good.....

Tomorrow is Australia Vs India (hehehe)

Who were Australia's opponents today? All 22 players on the field seem to helping the Aussies (if even they didn't reqire it)

I see a great future for India in this WC - flushed down the toilet!
Again one honest reply from teh people who saw thr match :
Did Australia play really well or did India play really really BAD?

Australia always play very well. As for India, to me it looked like they were taken apart. I don't think you could say they played bad, because the Aussie power put paid to that.

Don't think there will be many Canadians joining the debate after this mornings debacle.
Canada batting first - all out for 36, Sri Lanka win by 9 wickets taking just over 4 overs to get the runs.

I will post again with my thoughts (been waitin for an Indian win)

Canada did well till then - I must admit they got pretty harsh decisions; the Umpires looked like they had constipation problems.
However taking nothing away from the Lankans, I must admit they have been playing exceptionally well in this WC

On a personal note, India won - thanks Zimbabwe!

I haven't seen the replay of the Can-SL game yet, Ace. Who were the Umpires?
