2002 Super 12: sparky2512 wks 4-5 (6/6 then 5/5), AND 9-10 (5/5 then 6/6)
2005 Super 12: gtho4 wks 8-9 (both 5/5)
2009 Super 14: Eraserhead wks 7-8 (both 6/6)
2010 Super 14: paper_aero wks 5-6 (both 6/6)
2008-09 A-League: paper_aero wks 17-18 (4/4 then 5/5)
2010 Super League: PaulE wks 26-27 (both 7/7!)
2011 Super League: illiniman14 AND N-Bomb wks 14-15 (both 7/7!)**
2011 AFL: gtho4 wks 12-13 (both 8/8!)

** both tippers successfully went perfect the same two weeks

Record over the years with consecutive perfects:
2002: sparky2512 at 6/6 (later tied by Eraserhead in 2009 and paper_aero in 2010)
2010: PaulE at 7/7 (later tied by illiniman14 and N-Bomb)
2011: gtho4 at 8/8

No one has ever gone two in a row with 10/10 as those would all be in the perfect picks section.

I'll take on a bunch of challenges...may not complete them, but at least "give it the 'ole college try'."

Now, will we see our 12th different winner in NFL? It's looking like there will be a season after all.

Time to update the long Spoonless streaks for Sypher. His ended in MLB at 42 weeks (weeks 2-27 of 2010 season and weeks 1-16 of 2011 season).

Well done sir on hitting 40+!

That happens when it's before 6am and still near 90°! It may get to 110°F today or tomorrow.

Did you know that definitions of the word 'cypher'? (From Freedictionary.com)

Quote:
ci·pher also cy·pher (sfr)
n.
1. The mathematical symbol (0) denoting absence of quantity; zero.
2. An Arabic numeral or figure; a number.
3. One having no influence or value; a nonentity.
Number 3 sounds about right. smile

consecutive perfect picks will have to wait until next week as it may get longer. I only want to edit the HoF once.
[ b ]
a spoonless streak in Nascar might not be the same as a spoonless streak in a "normal tipping comp" .. Nascar is not included in perfect picks for that reason (we've had a few over the years, and left them out); so I'm not sure a spoonless streak should be included either.
e.g. what are the odds are of picking 4/43 drivers, then excluding the 4th and only scoring for the first 3 across the line (aka as two bites at the cherry) vs. the odds of picking 8/8 in AFL or 15/15 in the NBA? I don't know the answer and, at first blush, it doesn't look like they're in the same ballpark.

I'd say 15/15 is pretty tough...maybe 1 in 0.5 or 1M...ish. I'm not an accountant, but I am fairly good with numbers.

It's up to you, but I still think 64 weeks is impressive in itself!

Looks like we goofed...iRB in 2003, and you note that in the iRB thread: in 2003, there were three players that went 10/10 three consecutive weeks...and I don't think any of those perfects are mentioned anywhere. Post #182330.

Jonnowales didn't get one in the first round, as KrivoyRog was the only one to go perfect in round 1 of 2007.

Jonnowales did go 4/4 six consecutive though.
