Another comp's behind us. This was the inaugural running of the F1 GP comp:
Formula One GP
1st : Sypher
2nd : wez
3rd : ekaterina|sue943
Congratulations to the 4 medallists, and a special mention for our debutantes ekaterina and sue943, their debut appearances in the Hall of Fame!
(season long tipping comp)
.
Following on from Arsenal's 49 match unbeaten run, and the fact that Sypher was the leader from start to finish (the longest run for an entire season), these are longest consecutive runs where a tipster has lead a comp (solo or jointly):
comp season weeks consecutive
1 FAPL 2001-02 Copago 4-42 39
2 NRL 2003 ozzz2002 8-26 19
3 F1 GP 2004 Sypher 1-18 18 E
4 NRL 2001 Davjack 6-22(26) 17
4 NFL 2003 ElfTwinkle 1-17 17 E
6 NBA 2002-03 thejazzkickazz 4-19(24) 16
7 NBA 2001-02 thejazzkickazz 9-22(24) 14
7 NRL 2004 gtho4 13-26 14
9 NCL 2003 gtho4 5-17 13
10 AFL 2001 WoolDog3 4-15(22) 12
10 Super12s 2002 gtho4 1-12 12 E
10 NRL 2003 Sypher 2-13(26) 12
E = entire season
numbers in brackets indicate length of season
Sypher's effort is the 3rd occasion someone has led a comp from start to finish, and it's the 3rd longest run we've had. Just like Arsenal's record, no-one will get near Copago's effort in the 01-02 FAPL comp, 39 weeks straight!
This table will be placed in this thread's first post (the HoF) at a later date, as I'm not sure I've found all of the consecutive runs - I may have missed one or two. Please let me know if I have!
