Oh, wow! I'm sorry, need to brag a little (finally!) - I had General today and did the thing in 99 seconds - and got 19 of the 20 CORRECT! I've never done so well!

Thats very well done Ladymacb,i scored 8/20 today and feel like breaking something. Luckily my computer room has been padded after my last shockingly low score.I think i shall try and find out who these Sullivans are, mentioned a number of times in todays quizz, and break them.

The Sullivans? Like the brothers who served on the same ship in (I htink) WWI and the ship went down? Then the US created a law where family members can't serve on the same ship because all thebrothers fo the SUllivan family died... (How do I know this? The ship named after them is docked in Buffalo at the Naval museum there.)

Way to go Beth!

Re the Sullivans, it was in WWII that the five Sullivan brothers died with their ship. There was a movie made about them in 1944, very sad film. I believe their loss gave rise to the 'sole surviving son' law (as you state) that was the premise for the film 'Saving Private Ryan'.

As three people sent me congratulations the other day as I apparently was on top of the list for about an hour...I got an eighteen, however, in Seasonal as I know all the Christmas specials by heart and all the kids books from reading them to children over the years. I myself was amazed...I held my place in the sun for about two hours...I admit I clicked on it a few times...
Jazz didn't play that day though...boooo hooooo.

Thanks Ladymacb and SpanishLiz for the information about the Sullivans.Lol Bruyere I did somehow manage to fluke a higher score than Jazz once, though I`m sure he was having a bad day that one time I saved the scores page and made it available offline! [Kinda like a pick-me-up when I`m feeling dumb].

I just took the newest Daily Quiz (4/20). My topic was TV, and this question came up:

Quote:

Question 2

[ Another 'Friends' Trivia (Mixture: Easy) by sugar_magnolia28 ]

In the same episode, where did the video come from?

a box of Rachel's stuff
the closet
a box of Ross's stuff
a box of Monica's stuff

What episode? What video? And why did I get four questions about "Friends" and three more on Disney Channel shows?

Needless to say, I bagged a 10/20 on this one...

Here is a question on Seasonal in the Daily Quiz for 5/10:

Quote:

[ Year Without A Santa Claus ( Christmas on Screen) by OozieMae ]

What were the names of the two elves that Mrs. Claus sent to the above mentioned town?

Um, what town?

Another slowcoach here. A fraction over 23 hours, and STILL only got 12/20!

Still? I would be patting myself on back with a 12/20... I usually get single digits

I got excited when I saw that I had answered 10 correctly, especially since I guessed at about 12 of them! Then I saw that it took me 51694 seconds to complete it. I answered 10 right and got 400 points! haha

I haven't figured out the hours, but in 91487 seconds I should have done better than an 11, even on Music!

I had the same problem. 87,000 seconds to complete the quiz! That's about 60 days. Boy, time flies fast in Quizzyland!

Ok, thanks...but, whatever division I am in today still shows "Main Index" as the category.

I do see that other QLand members in other divisions have been able to play today. No problem...I'll try again tomorrow..

I also had "Main Index" as my category today, and like Moonrockie, just get an error message. It would appear that no-one in that division has been able to play.
