Hi there all,

You were all helpful last time so here's some more Travel Trivia questions:

1. Seattle is the capital od which US State?
(I think this is a trick question as Olympia is the capital of Washington, although Seattle is in Washington.)

2. In which town was Confucius born?

3. What are the 2 P&O Cruise ships to visit Sydney this summer on round-world voyages?

4.Which Dutch seaport is considered Europe's largest?

Thanks for your help......

Seattle isn't the capital of anything. Seattle is a city in the US state of Washington, the capital of which is Olympia, as you said, paullly.

re: "Seattle is the capital of which US State...?"

I really wonder what the answer is then??

ENCYCLOPÆDIA BRITANNICA

Seattle :

chief city of Washington, U.S., on a neck of land between Elliott Bay (Puget Sound) and Lake Washington (a 24-mile [39-kilometre] stretch of freshwater), seat (1853) of King county and the largest metropolis of the Pacific Northwest.

I'm doing the same quiz and am now stuck on this one!!

Seattle is definitely a city here in Washington, but our Capitol is Olympia. Seattle is much larger and populated than Olympia. It's always in the news, that's were the major news and radio stations are located. As far as I know there is no other city in the US called Seattle. I think maybe whoever is conducting this trivia quiz has been listening to the jeoparday jingle a tad too much.

The answer for the Seattle question - answers posted in the newspaper last week - was NONE!! We were correct...

But - the answer for where Confucious was born was listed as QUFU - so I got this wrong....I wonder where the paper got their answer/information from?
