I have installed Microsoft Agent which is sitting in my Windows directory, have installed all the necessary associated speech files etc, but having downloaded the character Peedy the parrot (which is one of several you can choose) the file peedy.exe will just not install and all I get is a brief glimpse of the downloading box and then nothing. Anyone else using Microsoft Agent and has some tips? Many thanks.

Can you see the Microsoft Agent icon sitting next to the computer clock?

No, although I have a different clock and date thing installed, it is certainly not in the tray at all. I can open it in Windows and see that all the files are present there. Feeling hopeful?

The reason I asked if you could see it next to the clock was that I just wondered if it was really installed already.

When you click on the .exe I don't think it's supposed to do anything unless it's the actual install exe. If it is just the .exe of the installed program then this is something that gets used only by Microsoft Agent enabled programs.

What happens if you right click on the file, do any options come up or does it only produce the usual options menu?
