Aaaaahhhhh, there it is! I never thought about looking at the bottom of the page to find the link back to the homepage. Thanks for pointing it out.

I still know how to get to that page. Haha! I'd tell you, but I don't have permission to give the link.

Terry - the old board used to show if a post was new or not by the colour of the little image to the left of the title of the thread. It would be orange for new posts and yellow for old posts.

All these great changes and I'm still here! Last time there was a major shuffle of the board I had to change my name! I like this new set up. It is very eye catching and easy to navigate.

New posts are highlighted and in bold lettering. That doesn't alter by just going into a forum like it used to. It stays being a new post for your whole session here. It changes to un-highlighted normal text when you close the browser and then come back into the site.

I use IE (not sure which version) or CompuServe. The highlighting and bold show up in mine in the Subject column where one chooses which thread to view.

I'm on IE6 and this is what I see.
If I come back to the site, having been away for long enough for there to have been new posts, there are quite a few lightbulbs lit in the main index. If I go into a forum with a lightbulb on I see that there have been new posts by the fact that the new ones appear bold text in darker shaded lines (Infopop scheme).
These stay in bold type along with the darker shading for my entire visit to FT. If I close my browser and immediately come back to the site all the bold text in a darker shading has gone, which, I'd reckon, means that I've seen seen all posts and that there are no new ones.
If I leave FT for a while and then come back I see lit lightbulbs and when I go into that forum I'll see that there have been new posts by them being in bold text again.
The lightbulbs in the main index go off straight away after I have visited the individual forums. I don't have to leave FT and come back for that to happen.
I haven't checked this out for other colour schemes but I have tried this lots of times in the scheme I'm using. I'll try it some more though just to be certain that this is the way it works for me.
It doesn't behave this way for anyone else then?

What happened to the feature that allowed us to review our posts over, say, the past week? I made a post that I'm trying to find, in a forum that I know not where, without success.

I use IE6 and the default (blues) colour scheme. The bulbs in the Main Index light up immediately someone adds a post or thread.
When I open a section (eg The Commons), threads I've looked at (this session or previously) show in purple, whereas threads which are totally new (to me) show in blue. I see no bolding to indicate a new post. That is only ascertainable from the Main Index for me.
However, on My Home page, if I've added a favourite thread and there are new posts, it shows a little 'NEW' box beside the thread name. I like this feature.
Just wish my 'Favourite Forums' would come back on My Home page too!

I've been trying out all of the various schemes. Some don't seem to have much indication of new posts. The Infopop one, which is the one I liked from the start, is the only one that does this bold type in a darker background thing that I've been talking about.
Anyone want to give the Infopop scheme a try to see what happens?
*Edit* Black and blue does it too. Quite a scheme!

I have changed to Infopop and now have the bold type for new posts, I prefer the desert scheme but will stay with this one for that benefit, I prefer to see which threads I need to visit to check on new posts.
Thanks Martin

I use the blues too, but the lines still alternate dark and light purple the way they did before. There's no way to tell which threads have new posts...

Just switched to the Infopop view. That's better! Now new posts are darker AND bolded.
I wonder why that doesn't work for me in blues? The colour scheme is so much nicer! I miss it already!

One new (I think) feature I particularly like is being able to mark all posts as read.

That's the one I used before the changeover. The new posts though have got white text on a light (or white) coloured background, so can't be seen. Can that be changed?
