You're going to have to give us a clue on this. I have narrowed it down to an ex-Arsenal player. If it's an ex-United player, please shoot me now!

I think you're safe, it can't be another ManU player. I think it's one of the French players in the squad when Arsenal did the double in 98, and is no longer with them .. but the RFYBs are still in boxes in the garage, unpacked!

George, I'd agree there. '98 is what I was thinking also, and that this player is no longer with Arsenal. Somebody help please! I need sleep!

mate, I sat in the garage last night, no luck .. I went through the Arsenal squad for 97-98 and 98-99 and none of them had won a ECL medal at a previous club, or a later club for those that left

every Euro championship is on this page:
www.rsssf.com/tables/eurochamp.html
but none of the players' names in any Final ring a bell

appearances in ECL Finals are on this page: http://www.rsssf.com/tables/ec1.html

Nicolas Anelka (Manchester City) was playing for Real Madrid when they won the ECL, and with Arsenal when they did the Double in 98 .. but he didn't play for France in the Euro 2000 Final .. the answer has to be on this page, I'm gonna hit the sack

anyone else?

Anelka was in the French squad for Euro 2000, so I'm guessing he got a winner's medal, even if he didn't play in the final.

I think they only give medals to those that played, or were on the bench. Can anyone confirm whether Anelka was on the bench in the final?

I'm going through the list. Only listing one thing these have not won, although there are others.

Barthez FA Cup
Lizarazu Not played in England
Vieira Euro Cup
Blanc FA Cup
Djorkaeff Premiership
Deschamps Premiership
Desailly Premiership
Zidane Not played in England
Henry Euro Cup
Thuram Not played in England
Dugarry Premiership
Wiltord Euro Cup
Trezeguet Not played in England
Pires Euro Cup

Not one of the Italian team have played in the Premiership.

Euro 96

Germany: Koepke, Strunz, Sammer, Helmer, Scholl, Bierhoff, Haessler, Eiltz, Bode, Kuntz Not played in England

Babbel Premiership
Ziege Premiership
Klinsmann Premiership

Czech Republic: Kouba, Rada, Kadlec, Strehoparek, Hornak, Bejbl, Nedved, Nemec, Kuka Not played in England

Berger Premiership
Smicer Premiership
Poborky FA Cup

So, we're now looking at Euro 92 if the Anelka theory is wrong

Would you believe it's Anelka, Schmeichel's team mate at Macnshester City:
Nicolas Anelka is 23 years of age also. He has played for Arsenal, Liverpool, Paris SG and Real Madrid. He has FA cup, Premiership, European Cup, European Championship and World Cup medals. His signing on fees alone are more than most first division players will ever earn.

...and I spent the best part of 1/2 hour searching for Euro 96!

This one just popped through my inbox:

Which player has played in the following derbies:

AC MIlan v Inter Milan
Liverpool v Everton
Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid
Arsenal v Chelsea
Borussia Dortmund v Borussia Moenchengladbach

Bearing in mind that I do not know the answer yet...
