Have you ever entered your screen name into a search engine - I hadn't but tried it - I got erotic dancers, roman history and tourist information (but nothing about Leicester apart from Fosse4 on Funtrivia!)

With my screen name, I think the results are fairly predictable, thousands of pages I would imagine What really scares me is what would happen if I typed in my real name, I have never dared to try!!

I remember trying it once. Not surprisingly, I got a couple of hundred references to tawny male cats, and one or two answers that I'd posted in "Ask Fun Trivia".

I used to go on this ego trip before- only people with better credentials were shown after the search - what a ego burst!

I tried mine in Google but only got three entries, all to do with here. No erotic dancers for me. Mind you, it would be some dancer that had the name of 'tellywellies' It doesn't exactly conjure the right image.

I just did and there is a Pagan girl that shares my name and oddly enough pretty much all my interests also. The entry that surprised me was this one.. Total Request Live Calander Check out this Sunday, I don't even remember registering on TRL. Go figure.

First off, I am no longer known as "blue". I am happy to say that I am back to my original name "jubjub". I am happy as a clam!
Well, here are a few sites I found: a web creation site, jubjub blackjack, fantastical bird illustrations, information about jubjub day and how to get to know Pimp Daddy Jubjub better! Aw, cripes......

Please meet lefois-30 halfling druid! I'm also apparently a descendent of one James Kervin. I am also something in French and something in German, but now I don't think I want to know what! Perhaps I should seek more insight from my apparent buddies in A...khazam's Magical Realm!

"Jubjub"---it just now hit me! "And the jubjub bird is singing in the ampfalulu tree". What WAS that poem?!?!
(No, I'm NOT mad as a hatter---it's something from my childhood.)
"MsBatt" brings up all sorts of not-very-interesting things about some 'real' people, none of whom are me.

The poem I know is from "Alice in Wonderland" - it starts: 'Twas brillig and the slithey toves did gire and gimble in the wabe All mimsey were the borogoves and the mome wraths outgrabe.......
total nonsense! Jujub is also the name of the Patty and Selma's iguana on "The Simpsons".

The top few from my search all are about FT The others are unrelated to me. I didn't get any dancers though. Somehow I doubt babymoo is a very popular name for exotic dancers. It just doesn't conjure up the right image........

As my screenname here is the name of a famous French author, there are a few sites on him, and then, a few on gardening as it's the name of the Heather plant. However, if I put my real first name into the machine...oh lord...some of those Heathers really get around, don't they? All Locklear's fault, before that, there weren't many of us...I was the only one in three thousand classmates. I think people named their daughters Heather after her.
My one screenname with my email is either a dessert or a fancy underwear...and honestly I had no idea! It's just a transcription of my real names.

My surname is a bit unusual, many remark on it and have to ask how it's spelt. So I put it into Google one time expecting to maybe find a few distant relatives. It turned out there were hundreds of people with the name, and we can't all be related!

Not all the Sue943 were for FT, those which were not were not me - I don't have a webtv email address, or didn't last time I checked. Then I put my real name into Google, some are me, some are not. I was slightly bemused to see the first entry which was actually me was in the minutes of a meeting that I attended in January 2002, I am shown as having attended. Apparently one subject caused 'a lively discussion' between myself and a couple of men... well they are both rather dishy Pity we were only discussing small claims procedures and fast-tracking them in Court!

When we first got our computer, Maynooth typed my real names (both maiden name and married name) into google to see what would come up. My maiden name is very unusual but he found a few namesakes with impressive credentials. With my married name, he found a namesake who is the author of a number of craft books. I am really into craft so I wrote to this lady and now we have a correspondence going. I must admit every time I get an e-mail from my own name, it startles me, and then I realise it's not me but my namesake!
I've never tried putting MotherGoose into google. Will have to give it a try!

Like a lot of you my screen name just brings up FT stuff. I have done my real name too and it brings up a huge amount of women of em.. questionable reputation. I guess I just have one of those names. There is also an architect so thats OK.

My screen name brings up the expected - proofreaders and related sites. However, a couple of years ago I googled my real name (with abbreviated given name, which I prefer) and got numerous results including car yards, personal sites, "OnlineAthens obituries and death notices", and many others.
The one that stuck in my mind (or craw), embarrassingly, was for a self-claimed well endowed, American negro bloke's porno site! Eeeeeeuuuuuwwwwww!!!
PS My name sounds nothing like a Greek one!
