This is for a local trivia marathon. If you are on a competing team, don't answer, it would be against the rules.

I think I know where 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, and 17 came from so far.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the help. We already had #4, it is the Algerian Hail Mary. The Cole thing was funny. I think I'm going to start asking people to hold pieces of string for me, and then leave.

We still don't know #2, 5, 7, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15. The contest starts tomorrow (friday).

If either of you ever need free medical advice, just get in touch. I'm not a doctor, but I do give out free medical advice. :-)

Domokun,

#2 is Adam's Mark - a mountain peak in Colorado, taken as a logo by the Adam's Mark hotel chain. The image is the view of the peak as seen from an airplane with the lines being mountain ridges.

Cordially,

Russ

THANK YOU!
We got the question on Adam's mark right, thanks to you.
Just in the nick of time :-)

And thank you tabby tom, whistle, and tielhard.

The question of the mayan symbol was:
This is a scan of one side of a coupon to get an item from Chipotle's Mexican Grill. What do you get for it?
We called chipotle's, and they said "a burrito". So that was that.

Domokun,

You're welcome!

I backtracked on the website showing the images and see that it is a radio station contest that ends tonight (Feb 9).

I'd appreciate knowing the answers to the remaining images, just in case I see them again.

Cordially,

Russ

OK, here goes:

#1 is an elementary school principal (Faya Sarfan) who dyed her hair green and dressed up like a Dr. Seuss character, after her students read more than 700,000 pages in four and a half months for 'read across america' celebration.

#3 is Magenta, the female dog on Blue's Clues.

#5 is printed on the back of a coupon for a free burrito at Chipotle's Mexican Grill (local thing).

#6 is "cat eye's" and "white out" contacts (if i remember right)

#7 I don't recall the artist, but the caption was "The callous
sophisticates laughed at Judy's tiny head."

#8 Saturn Vue ad.

#9 Mr. Chad

#10 Don't recall - the 3 daughters of a famous person.

#11 was from the 1952 film "This
is Cinerama." The coaster is the "atom smasher".

#12 I do not recall

#13 is like "Ducky Swave'" or something, not quite sure.

#14 I don't recall

#15 was Dr. Carrot and Potato Pete, characters used during WW2 in Great Britain to encourage people to eat less meat. The question was about a poem using the letters from "POTATO" featured on a Potato Pete poster. No idea what the answer was.

#16 was simply "name these actresses". I don't have the list anymore (we missed 2).

#17 was related to this: http://www.dar-csc.org/csdarprojects.html

Thanks again
