Man, am I steamed! Maybe someone can put me out of my misery. I have quite happily used a .net passport account for some time. My husband has his own account on this computer and it wasn't a .net passport one, but he decided that though he can't type, maybe he'd like to belong, too, so he could video message with our daughter at college once in awhile for a lark! So...I signed him up. Up to that point he had his own desktop full of icons so he could point and click his way through soccer, boxing, Formula One and Italian newspaper sites! He was quite happy with that!

Post his .net passport signup...all his mail is being directed to Outlook Express...his original email account doesn't receive anything (he gets cards!), when he does connect to one of his favourite old sites and tries a search from the "sidebar", it says he's not connected to the net, and we have to go through .net passport! It's all screwed up!

Why am I mad? I have spent the last two hours trying to disconnect his account from .net passport. #1...You can't find the site to do so (easily). #2...When I finally did locate the WAY to do it, it let me connect, but it seems to be taking over an hour to do so...and still counting! When I tried to sign in to MY .net passport just now, after "switching users", it wouldn't let me, but I had an icon on MY desktop, too! So I'm here, and fuming! Could be there is something wrong with MSN everywhere right now, and if it's so, please let me know!

Ohhhhhhhh...I'm really steamed! Any comments?

Well, I shall do a first for me, here at FT, and reply to myself! I just checked, and he's apparently "unsubscribed". I was able to do a search for him in the usual way, and I've just sent him an email to test if it's going where it's supposed to! I did a "reset", too, by the way...and nothing would get rid of it! I think it's ok now. I think I'm ok now. Sorry. I'll sit down now.

I'm really glad you sorted everything out Lefois 'cos there was no way I could help you but I felt for you, I have suffered the same kind of frustration with my computer.

Likewise! I read the question once and was just doing a second scan when I noticed you'd found the answer yourself (thank goodness! ). Well done!
