So who's yours?

Mine would have to be the 1968 Manchester United European Cup winners.

Best, Law, Charlton, Stiles, Crerand... that list could go on.

The Calypso Kings, the West Indian cricket team in the the '80's, were awesome. Who would want to bat against those bowlers? And who would want to bowl to Viv, Lloyd, Greenidge, etc?

??? ??? ???
Eh, I have heard of Owen, Murphy, Dudek, Riise, Hyypia .... (The list could go on)

Anyways, I would agree on the Calypso Kings - they were capable of creating fear.
But a better (and more successful) "International" Cricket team would be the "Aussie Invincibles" of Stephen Rodgers!

But then again you guys haven't heard of " St. Thomas Cricket Club (STCC)" of Trivandrum (India), have you? They have had some 'legendary' players in that team.

The Leicester Football Club aka Tigers must be up there with the best. (admitted not a good current season) but European and certainly the UK's best for the last four (possibly 5 or 6)seasons.) I'd say the best team worldwide in the professional era and that does include the Aussies!

This one might surprise a few people, but as far as the greatest team I ever saw, I'll plump for Ian Chappell's team in 1974-75, specifically the team for the 4th Test :-
Ian Chappell(c), Ian Redpath(vc), Rick McCosker, Greg Chappell, Ross Edwards, Doug Walters, Rod Marsh, Max Walker, Dennis Lillee, Jeff Thomson, Ashley Mallett, Terry Jenner (12th man).
Not necessarily a team of champions, but a champion team.

I'm just throwing this one in because they deserve a mention - the St George rugby league team who won 11 premierships in a row. Not many teams would have such a dominance over so many years, especially in adomestic competition (I'm a Parramatta fan and hate St George).

Sorry about Friday night, Kevin. I am a Roosters fan..

The St George record is still a world record (in ANY sport), and I don't think it will ever be beaten (unless my mob can win the next 11 flags, hehe).
