I hope I am not the only one who does not know the answer to this! I want to know why, when we look at the sky that we can only see blue. Why can't we see the blackness of outer space?

Good question, poetic somehow, it is also the reason my eyes look blue!
The filaments etc. catch the light and you're looking at the back of the eye through them.

Hey, it's a lot less creepier to have brown eyes than knowing people are almost gazing into your soul or something through a bunch of filaments!
I'd often like to have the protective features that brown eyed folks do.
At least mine are kind of grey, as I know some folks with eyes like a husky.
