Hi All - two special days in one in the UK.
First off don't forget to reset your clock tonight (here in the UK we go forward an hour at 1pm Sunday)
Second (as I no longer have one) Happy Mothers Day to all Funtrivia Mothers - I hope your all pampered and fussed over for the day.(LOL (my version) to you all)

Thanks for the timely reminder about the clocks (sorry), I had forgotten. I think I will run around in the morning resetting everything rather than doing it tonight.

As for Mothers Day, I sent off my card and flowers to my mother, and received a card and a promise of a present later from one of my children. All is well.

You gave me a shock, Fosse4! In the US we don't go to daylight savings time until April 6 and Mother's Day is May 11.
I thought I was in serious trouble because I didn't get the wife flowers today... Wheew. Then I reread your post. It's Mother's Day in the UK!
Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies across the big pond.

I thought that would give a few of our American friends palpitations.

Mothers Day always reminds me of daffodils, children are normally given some in church (assuming they attend) to give to their mothers, sweet.

I am surprised about the clocks, I thought I remembered from previous years that we all did it at the same time, perhaps it was a coincidence or was only in October that happened.

Well, here we're doing the daylight saving but putting the clocks back and Mother's day isn't until May. Changing the clocks isn't too hard for me becasue I didn't change most of them anyway at the start of it but now I just have to remember not to keep adding an hour.

Sorry for ANY heart attacks - I did TRY to avoid the confusion by saying it was in the UK that we were changing the time and celebrating the day!

I've just been counting up the number of clocks, watches and timers that need changing around the house. There are twelve. I nearly always miss one though. Anyone got more than that?

Don't forget to change the "current adjusted date" on FT. I got a bit confused here after we changed our clocks last Thursday.

You just need to tie a knot in your hankie to remind yourself to do it all over again when it is America's turn:)

John you got in the way there, I was responding to diehard I would hate you to think that you have to run round doing it all over again:)

To add to the clock list:
Kitchen - coffee maker, stove, microwave oven.
Dining area - pendulum clock.
Living area - radio clock, decorative clock.
Den - VCR, wall clock, desk clock.
Bedrooms - two radio clocks.
Bathroom - clock.
Basement - timer on sprinkler system, water softener.
Garage - car and truck clocks, wall clock.
Oh, yes, two wrist watches.
I'm sure I forgot half a dozen that probably don't work anyway.

Your computer thinks it's being nice to you and doing you a favour . You can tell it that its efforts are appreciated, but unwanted, by double-clicking on the clock to bring up the date/time dialogue box and unticking the box that says about daylight saving.
