Hello to you all, LONG old time since I've been on here, that's motherhood for you Hope you all remember me !!!

I just thought I'd let you all know how Alex is getting along. He was nine months old on Friday 28th, how quickly has that gone??!! He can't sit up on his own yet but the doctor says that's because he's not interested in sitting still at all. He's crawling with a vengeance and spends most of his time motoring around the living room floor investigating anything he comes across. He's reaching up to pull stuff off of the coffee table and propping himself up on his knees using his little chair. I think he'll be pulling himself up onto his feet soon and he may go straight from crawling to walking and miss out the sitting stage. His legs are incredibly strong and we bought him a baby bouncer, which he loves, so he'll get used to being upright.

He eats like a horse and I still haven't found anything he doesn't like, favourites are vegetables and yoghurt. He's babbling a lot, lots of dadadadad and babababab. I think he'll talk quite early. Life was a little difficult until about two months ago when he learnt to go to sleep on his own, and he's got that down to a fine art now. I've got the joy of having some time to myself in the evenings and a decent night's sleep.

Unfortunatley I'm not technically clued up enough to post a pic on here but if you visit my husband's website at www.paulmcmonnies.co.uk there's some fairly up to date ones on there and it'll hopefully be updated soon.

Much love to you all, nice to be back

Nice to see you, and Alex! What a little belter, and that dimple in the chin, I always think one of those looks rather nice on a bloke! Nine months? Where did the time go? Don't be a stranger, it would be lovely to see you back with us.

Lupetta, how nice to see you and hear how Alex is going

Conor is nine months tomorrow. He's sitting but not crawling yet, although he does a 'commando crawl' which is pretty cute but hasn't worked out it would be easier to bring his knees up than to crawl on his belly. He's doing all the babbling too, got mum-mum-mum and da-da-da-da happening but a pure fluke But what he can do which we've been practising a lot is growl! He started doing it himself and then we kept him up by saying "Are you a tiger?" and now he will growl back much of the time. My family is much more impressed about him growling like a tiger than any other of his achievements. (frgot to say that he now has 7 teeth with one more on the way)

Nice to see you drop in Lupetta! Hope to see you when you get a chance

Hi Lupetta, nice to see you back - and great news to know Alexander (Tinker)(don't show that bit to dad!) is getting on so well. The baby bouncer will come in handy when he does start to walk (a sort of prison cell where you can keep your eye on him!(lol)).

Hi ! Lupetta !!!! YEah for Alexander !!! I am also a new mom again. Mine was born on Feb. 12th. I understand the juggling act that you have to perform. I do not get on here as much as I would like either. I return to work Monday but only until June 6. Then I have the summer off !!!!! My oldest son (now 6 years) was a huge squash fan. In fact, he liked it so much he turned a little orange. Hope Alexander continues to do well and keep you happily busy !!!!

P.S. My little guy's name is Patrick
