A while ago, I saw the episode of ITAS with Harrison Ford being interviewed. I watched it with interest to see if I could gain any new trivia about him, since I'd written a quiz about him earlier.

Not only did I not get new info, but it seemed as if the host, James Lipton, had read my quiz and was asking Ford questions straight from it. And not just regular info! One of my questions was about his four movies where he played a character named Henry (and to name the one that was not related to the others). Lipton asked him this question in trivia form. IIRC, he also mention how his chin scar was "explained" in two of his movies, but how he'd really gotten it in an auto accident. And also Ford's favorite movie of his (Mosquito Coast).

Is ITAS using FunTrivia as a source?

I didn't see the quiz, and I find Lipton the most unctuous, oily, fawning sycophant in the history of the chat-show biz, but I can tell you that it is my understanding that Harrison Ford worked as a carpenter for the writers John Gregory Dunne and Joan Didion when they were living in California, and that the working title for Dunne's (perhaps greatest) book was, as I understand it, "Harrison Ford, Jr.". I think Ford hit it big with "Star Wars" while the book was still in the process of being completed, and that the title of the book was then accordingly changed to "Dutch Shea, Jr."-- a worthwhile read no matter how designated. It's also my understanding that Ford is half-Jewish, but exactly where in the recesses of my tiny mind this nonsense comes from is beyond me.

I think someone else is using my quzzes for info. A local radio morning show had a contest to win tickets if the callers could state which US state a TV show was set. Four of my 10 questions from my similar quiz were used. (A fifth's spin-off was also used.) I find that too coincidental.

Tony, I'll make sure TPTB see this, in case there's something that they can check into.

It might be helpful if you could document exactly which questions, which quiz, where you're hearing/seeing these things, dates, times, etc. If anything could be done, there would have to be pretty strong documentation beforehand.

I wrote to the radio show and asked if they'd gotten their info from FTQL. He said he had. At first, I was flattered. But then I remembered that once it's submitted that it's the property of FTQL.

Here's what Jimmy (from the radio show) said:

yes I did get the idea and some of the questions from that site...I think
that site is great!!! Your questions were wonderful and I have come up with many more for the game at a later date.

So, is Jimmy in copyright violation, or is he using my quiz as research data for his own quizzes?
