I just finished reading Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace. One of the best books I've ever read. Romance, drama, battles.
morality, mortality, politics, history, and friendship all play out well with this book. What amazed me most and still
does is Tolstoy's way of balancing every topic of his story while keeping the pace going smoothly. Even though he
covers so many ideals, issues, and historical topics, it never really gets boring or too fustrating.
My only problem was the very last 100 pages or so. I think he uses his time to formulate his ideas about war, people,
culture, and life in gerenal. Even though he does a good job of explaining, with examples, his ideals and thoughts, it
gets real boring. I think, in 1984, George Orwell did a better job.
