Wow, what a shame you had to settle for Jimmy Paige! An impressive listing you have there.

Okay, where to start. A few concerts have earned my praise in the last few years (not recently though hmm...) Any way to date my favourites have to be Tool (x2), A Perfect Circle and Violent Femmes. Each of these has earned a very special place in my trousers for eternity.
Do not ignore my trousers!!!

My fave is my first Air Supply concert that was in my town on Memorial Day.

I have mostly found the big arena concerts to be disappointing. This mioght have had somthing to do with the "preparing " we used to do, to go to a big concert....I would often end up falling asleep. Also, speaking in a very general way, if a band is popular enough to fill an arena, they are a bit too commercial for my taste, and a little boring.

Probably the best concert I ever saw was Renaissance, in the mid to late seventies when Annie Haslam was the vocalist. It was in Toronto's Massey Hall, which was a great venue; a lot of my favorite concert memories come from there.

My favorite concert of this year, so far, is Wilco.

Regina Spektor put on a very good concert last month. For someone "new" to the national touring scene, she seems very expierenced. Also caught Arlo Guthrie at the same venue a week later. Nice show but a little too acoustic for my tastes.

Two area bands put on really great shows, these being Murder By Death (fiery alt/country or Johnny Cash gone punk) and Gentlemen Caller (somewhat similiar to Margot & the Nuclear So & So's and the Shins).
