What sports do you/play? I do Cross-Country and Track. I do long jump, high jump, 200 meter dash and sometimes the 200 meter relay for events in Track.

Back in the good old days all my spare time was taken up with sport...athletics, swimming, hockey, netball, tennis and the occasional game of footie with the lads, of course. I loved it all!! The only thing I regret never having the chance to have a go at was pole vault, us mere girlies weren't allowed to try such dangerous activities. I wonder if it's too late to give it a whirl!!

You have waaaaaay to much much energy Ashi.
I played rugby league for 16 years and have played union for 14. Throw into the mix some squash, netball, cricket and darts.

Football (Association), Rugby (Union), Gymnastics, Basketball (despite my height I obtained a coaching qualification),Table Tennis, Tennis and just about anything else going in my youth except Running!. Mid 20's to 40's only one sport mattered Cricket. Now I only play Ten Pin Bowling competitively (league)I've been bowling for about 40 years and can hold my own and beat the youngsters (Not great but League Average of 160 - high score of 245).

I don't know why I play pool but it must be the age - as I grow older, I am becoming more and more lazy.... Of course, the offical reason is injuries (read mental depression after losing) have forced me to quit the more "running" around sports (Exactly the reason why I love cricket).
Note: I am seriously considering a professonal career in "Book Cricket".

Another 'He-man' here. There is nothing quite so energetic as a tough game of Scrabble or pool. I played competition pub darts for many years, but like SG I never got a 180- my best was a 171, and a lot of 140s...
I tried a lot of sports when I was younger, and am about as coordinated as a drunken octopus, so I invested in a comfy chair and watched other people do all the running around
Ace, if I want to go 5000 metres, I drive...

I have no idea what the heck Cricket is! I'm from America and I have never in my life heard of Cricket. Yes, I do have way too much energy, that's why I do sports!

...I just did it for kicks.

I am into sports that involve animals. Sheep Dog Trials - I am the sheep dog (rounding up children and getting them all into one spot at the same time and keeping them there). My next sport I love is to do with emus. The Emu Parade, picking up everyone else's belongings, that they seem to know nothing about!

Isn't cricket a cheap imitation of American baseball or something. No self-respecting American sport would contain a "googly" whatever the heck that is.

Well, Die Hard, I wanted to make a snide remark on the same lines about baseball; but then my knowledge of baseball is limited to Torri, Jeter (or is it Peter)and the Yankees. Personally I believe Baseball is a fine game - after all any cricketer (of decent skill) would dearly love to get knee length 'Full tosses' thrown at them. Which sport has the largest viewership in a World Cup match? - Baseball or Cricket? Assumptions Here I made the following assumptions: 1) Baseball is played in a country outside the U.S of A. 2) These countries get together, after a fixed period of time, to compete against each other in a 'big event'. End of Assumptions Does baseball allow you to get a decent nap between or during the game? (Thank God Die Hard hasn't heard of 'Chinaman', 'Mankading', 'Bosies' and of course certain other terms which are best NOT said here ) ____________________________________________________________ Wait I am wrong - isn't Baseball the game where some guys try to put a ball in a hole (that is way too high for me?)

Now Diehard you know that baseball is a copy of our ladies game of Rounders and you know that you also have silly expressions for sports -
