I absolutely love this band. But I don't know many people who do. With Meg and Jack White you either love 'em or hate 'em. They are a bit eccentric, aren't they? I don't get the whole sister/brother or husband/wife thing. Maybe it's a publicity stunt, who knows? Most likely. Anyway, what does everyone else think of them? Their music? The personas they present? Just curious.

I really like the White Stripes and their music. So far I like all of the bands that have been linked to the Stripes- such as the Strokes, Hives, Datsuns, D4, Whirlwind Heat, Black Keys, Von Blondies, etc.

I guess Jack has created several phony backgrounds for himself and his ex-wife. I think it's all fun, I'm enjoying this
band and the trend while it all lasts.

I didn't much care for them at first. But now, they've grown on me. I may have to buy thei new album soon, from what I've heard, it's pretty good.

Jack White is an amazing off the wall musician. I love the 'clunker' guitars he plays - much akin to having a 2x4 strapped around one's neck.
I too would like to hear the new album. We have the first one...who could resist somebody who cranks out lyrics like "didn't expect a spectre" ?

I love the White Stripes, the sound that Jack and Meg can create on stage with just a guitar and drums probably leaves a lot of 4/5 piece bands envious! I must admit to preferring their earlier more raw albums then their latest which is a little too polished for my liking.

A great band and interesting to watch, whatever they're doing. I caught them in Coffee and Cigarettes a few weeks ago and I didn't expect it at all. There's also a very entertaining scene with Alfred Molina and Steve Coogan. If you haven't seen it and enjoy indie films check it out.

I love their new album as well as their old ones...I think my favorite would probably have to be Elephant.
