I loved Frontier House, although that cheating family annoyed me.
There were probably several other families who applied for the position that would have done it fairly so that is basically all that bothered me about the situation.
I must admit the father was right when he justified his family by saying that families succeeded because they did what they needed to do.
I liked that one better than Manor House, but I haven't seen all of the episodes of Manor House yet.
What I have seen reminded me of an experiment where average people were given to prison guard uniforms and were put in charge of other average people who were given the position of inmates.
Manor House would be a paradise for those interested in analyzing personalities and behavior.
How the heads of the household were so able to detach themselves from what I'd imagine would be their 21st century selves is fascinating.
I wanted to high five that Jamaican dinner guest who posed some pretty frank questions about the transformation because someone had to bring it up. Although sticking with the social rules of the period, he probably shouldn't have been permitted to do even that, I think he should had been a bit harsher. Tell the guy he's become a snob.
I haven't seen much of the Reji, yet. However, I did see part of the dinner party that was probably the talk of the manor.
Although I enjoyed the Frontier House episodes the best, I love Manor House because it's the only period out of the series that I couldn't quite visualize until now.
It's very interesting.
