TNN was supposed to change its name to Spike TV. But filmmaker Spike Lee threatened with a lawsuit, and as of now, the name is still TNN. Are they THAT scared of the guy? After all, the name Spike was around long before Lee made the scene. There's video director Spike Jonze, and the Rugrats' dog Spike (now speaking in the "Rugrats Go Wild!" movie); Lee didn't threaten lawsuits on THEM! Why all the to-do about a dumb cable network?
Of course, TNN didn't have to change its name in the first place; in fact, it was first the Nashville Network, then became the Natonal Network. As Shakespeare put it, "What's In A Name?" Spike Lee might ask himself the same; his real name is Shelton Jackson Lee!
