In Oz we pronounce pint as beer.

Seriously, we pronounce pint as in pine cone. Aah the vaguaries of the English language.

Technically, a hyphenated word in English can be considered one word, so I propose a new longest word for one row of the keyboard:

Typewriter-pewterer: n. One who plates typewriters in pewter

......or even the VAGARIES!! ......

"Vagaries".......idn't dat vhere dey vake vread?
......and can anyone come up with an English word that rhymes with it?

This is only true for English keyboards though. I have a German keyboard at home (and an English one at uni. That's so confusing ) and on the German one the letter "y" is where the letter "z" is on the English one.
Hey, I just realized I can type "Quizwriter". Is that a real word?

Usually it would be quiz writer, as in quiz player, maker, author etc; however I reckon we might let this one slip through based on your originality Chris.

In response to serendipity, and skullduggery, if you say them carefully...stick to the rhyme and the meter.

Are we allowed to do true risque limericks? I'm afraid to post one, being a sensitive man of the nineties and all...Are children watching our media?
