I am somewhat embarrased to admit this, but I often find myself watching "Trading Spaces". I have never seen its predessecer, "Changin Rooms" or it's spin off "While You Were Out", but at least it is something DIFFERENT and interactive. I have only seen it a handful of times but I have liked it.

I love Changing Rooms and find Trading Spaces to be almost as good. My favorite decorator on Trading Spaces is Vern. Everything he does is beautiful.

I absolutely love Trading Spaces. It's the only "reality based" tv show I'll watch. I'm very fond of Vern and Frank. I'd love to have Frank redecorate my bedroom.

The only thing I'm embarrassed to admit is, I will make it a point to watch if Ty is the carpenter. All carpenters should look that good.

I agree Indie! Did you see the episode of "A Makeover Story" where Ty and Amy Wynn (is that her name?) got makeovers to go to an awards show? Mmmm-mmmm!

I like "Trading Spaces" and "Changing Rooms". I've seen a few episodes of "While You Were Out" but I haven't found that they get as nice results -- the surprisee always seems to be early getting back! The challenges are neat to watch, though.

I also like the Canadian version of "Changing Rooms", called "The Decorating Challenge" but it's probably not aired as much outside of Canada.

Vern is great. They can all do amazing things but a few times I would have been very surprised.

Did anyone see the episode where a dining room was painted black and large glass containers filled with eggs were placed on the table? The homeowner implied that she would be calling a painter the next day.

On another episode a child's room was decorated to the nth degree. That family was very gracious---I think the walls had been splattered with paint---4 or 5 different colors.

One lucky lady's bedroom was recreated as a Venetian retreat and I think she won champagne. A very happy ending.

BTW, Hi To All---I'm Lauren/Atlanta, GA. I'm new.

The worst episode I saw was when a couple's living room was transformed to appear as if it was inside a train car, because the man of the house liked trains. What a nightmare!
