Almost 1 Million box were sold in the U.K. Will be it possible to have the most objective opinion on these boxes. That would be useful for the purchase of a first one or a for a second.
There I find a case concrete of the utility of a forum. It is a usual practice elsewhere, in forums where there are tens of thousands of users. I would nevertheless have liked to have the opinion of other enlightened users.

Funny how a there is a trend towards a particular make being one the best, both in the last post and the other deleted bits. Also, something from the, now gone, post:

I must say that this forum and Mark Smith's responses tempted me to buy a product that I wouldn't have even looked at before

What previous comments in this forum have encouraged you to buy a box and who is Mark Smith? I don't think we've heard of him before or discussed freeview boxes. Was the text of the post just copied from elsewhere?

I think the post has an advertising trend and so cannot be left in.

Once you have been a member of the FunTrivia forums for a while and have contributed to other threads in an agreeable manner then we are more likely to let members occasionally refer to manufacturer names when necessary in a discussion.

This maybe is only a policy found at FunTrivia but that's the ruling. Further posts that seem to be advertising will also be removed.
