How many seperate Harry Potter threads do we need???

I thought it was Crud and I want my money back (see Fosse4's thread for my reasoned critique). You are right though it was depressing.

I have a nasty feeling snm, that the answer to your question is going to reach double figures.

Please may I ask a favour? Could we please refrain from discussing HP5 until people have had more time? I am a teacher and I am really tired at the moment . I am looking forward very much to reading the book when I can at last have a bit of a break (before Summer School starts) next week. I do not want it spoiled for me by people telling details of the plot, and making comments on who dies etc. I really dont want to know. I realise you have put "spoiler'at the top of your new thread, but someone will not notice until later (as happened with me) and it will all be ruined

Ren33, I went out of my way to make sure I revealed no plot elements, just my total disappointment.

I know , Tielhard. I am just edgy as one person has already posted a very big spoiler in another forum. This to me is unforgiveable, and proves that there are people on this site who are completely self centred , and could not care one jot for the feelings and wishes of others here. This is sad, as in the past people have complied with the simple rules here and it has been, on the whole a happy and pleasant place. I am disappointed that someone should show complete disregard for the posts that have gone before in a thread, and also the rules which are posted at the top of every forum.
I also feel we have enough threads in here on the HP theme for now. I certainly was not criticising your post here in any way.

Im tired of seeing your posts all over the place complaining about spoilers. Dont read em if u dont want the book spoiled. if it wasnt posted that it was a spoiler than its not ur fault, but all ive seen is ur face in topics that are clearly labeled spoiler, complaining about spoilers. it really makes me tired of this website. I want to talk about HP5 not spoilers.

Firstly, you may not have noticed that my post is dated end of June, just after HP5 was sold in my country.Secondly,The word SPOILER was put in later. The post was indeed a spoiler for many people here, as my PMs list can prove.
By the way the word is 'your' not 'ur'.The standards of spelling, attitude to others and presentation are quite high here. If you want to continue with discussion of this I suggest you join a specific Harry Potter Site, of which there many. However, even in many of those, posters are requested not to give away details that others may not have read yet. Thankyou.
I am sorry you are "tired of this website"after one post. Take the trouble to read whole threads in here, it may help you to understand why people were frustrated, not just myself.

I agree 100% ren33. There is no need to be hostile to you or any others who feel the way a lot of us here do.
The word SPOILER was indeed added later but the damage had been done for those who hadn't read the book and I was one of them.
In regards to enova's request to talk about HP5, well like you mentioned, there are a lot of web sites out there who I am sure would benefit most highly from enova's insight and tasteful comments.

This is evnova, I wasn't able to log as evnova, I would just like to say thanks for forgiving me, it takes a lot of grief off me. Hope you don't run accross any more spoilers. It would definitely make me mad if I had ran into one about hp5, I guess that since I have allready read it, spoilers dont grab my attention. Thanks again.

Thanks Ren, I've regretted and then quite enjoyed that thread (lol).
. and that thread ended when the book came out (It was an "In anticipation of a new book in the series" thread) where hopefully everyone could say whatever they thought as it was all speculation.

I've re-edited the title of this thread to how I would prefer potential spoiler threads to be titled SPOILER first - then the subject - everyone can then decide wether to read on for themselves!.
If you don't agree with me then let me know (I'm sure you will! CI will be back shortly!)

So as no on is talking about Harry Potter, and as everyone seems to highly dislike this post, can I delete It?

Hi Peardust - I'll close the thread for you (no more posts) Your thread has highlighted the problems with discussions on current Best Sellers and the comments made by the others were I'm sure not personal or against HP books (or any others) being discussed.
