We all know that garlic is good for lowering our blood pressure but did you know it also
- lowers LDL Cholesterol
- helps to reduce atherosclerotic buildup (plaque)
- helps to regulate blood sugar
- helps to prevent blood clots from forming
- helps to prevent cancer. It prevents the further growth of certain tumors while reducing the size of others.
- raw garlic is a potent natural antibiotic
- has anti-fungal and anti-viral properties
- reduces yeast infections due to Candida species
- has anti-oxidant properties
- is a source of selenium
But it smells awful you say. Well there are a few ways to eat garlic which minimise the smell. It won't get rid of it totally because it actually passes through the pores of your skin and will take time.
Eating fresh parsley is probably the most common one, but a couple of others include
- Chewing on a coffee bean
- Eat a bowl of lime sherbert
- Brushing your teeth carefully and then drinking Chinese tea
I don't know how reliable these are.
... and to all you folks in Indiana it is against the law to get on a bus within four hours of eating garlic.
