Kobe did not admit to adultery until these charges were actually filed, right? I was wondering if I had missed something. All I heard for weeks was that "he is not Mike Tyson"... this is unlike him and she just wants money.
Unfortunately, there are many gold diggers out there, but none of us know what happened on a particular night. I do not think that many people thought Kobe slept with her at all. I had heard that she was a "mental patient" that could not make a good character witness. If this is so, what is Kobe Bryant, who did have a squeaky clean image, a wife, a newborn baby, and three championship rings doing sleeping with a "mental patient."
I have heard that she is an upstanding citizen. But I am not going to jump to any conclusions one way or the other. I will let the media do that.

I am not a Lakers' fan and couldn't give a flip about Kobe. The only thing that bothers me about cases such as this is that the man's name is dragged through the mud. Kobe is innocent until proven guilty but he can never live down the damage done by the accusation. If he is guilty, he should pay; if he is innocent, he has already paid when he shouldn't have. The accuser, on the other hand, has the privilege of living in anonymity.

He may not be Mike Tyson, but is he Bill Clinton??

I am a solid Lakers fan and I also am grateful that they have Payton and Malone...they lack depth of their bench though.

There is so much publicity in the trials of these superstars that we forget they are human.

My problem is that he is being "judged" guilty by the media before he's come to trial (contrary to any UK Law where you are innocent until proven guilty) It's easy to hit a superstar with an accusation, get it in the papers and then sit back for the media frenzy to prove them "GUILTY" before the trial - regardless of the truth in the case - and it seems regardless of wether there are any Facts or evidence!.
(Please note I am not referring in any specific way to the KOBE case, where I have no knowledge of the circumstances of the allegations)

I wouldn't be too surprised - after all, the judge did everything he could have to make sure he got off - what money and a little fame can't do ah? Poor girl.
