I was just casually surfing the net with three windows open when suddenly Internet Explorer informed me that it has encountered a problem and needs to close and it closed two of my windows, but not my Funtrivia ones. Now whenever I start the internet by clicking on Internet Explorer, the fonts are huge and won't subside. The strange thing is I'm working on thesame FunTrivia window which did'nt close and the fonts are all right. Another strange thing is that when I turn on MSN Messenger, (I think most of you know that it shows the number of new messages you have received ) and click on the number of new messages, a new window opens but the fonts are normal there. Please help. Is there a virus in my computer....

I think I have encountered the same problem before but I'm not sure how it started.

To cure, click on the 'View' menu, then go to the 'Text size' submenu, and selct 'Medium'. This ought to work.

Also, if you want to change fonts, go to Tools, Internet Options, Fonts, and change it from there.

angi or harish. . .
This is wierd!! The same kind of thing happened to me too, and I've no idea how it came about. I've gone to the settings for AOL and changed the font size to small, but it didn't make any difference. I even called about it with no luck.
So where do I find the "view" menu to change it to a different size font? Or is that not an option in AOL. I noticed that you said you are using MSN. Is it on the IE view menu?

I know that, I just thought you might want to know.

Serinitee, just try hunting around a bit. It might be under preferences...

serenitee, it seems you're not the only one having this problem with AOL! Here's something I found:
Quote:

We have recieved several requests for instructions on how to change font size in AOL. As we understand it, AOL browser 7+ is similar to Netscape 6+ and Mozilla, while earlier versions were similar to Internet Explorer. We're not entirely sure though, because none of us use AOL at work. And just to make things really difficult, AOL allows you to use any browser you want. If you don't know what browser you're using, you can usually find out by looking in the Help menu under 'About foobar', where 'foobar' is replaced by the name of the browser. Selecting 'About foobar' will bring up specific version information.

I do so appreciate all the good help. I'll get it figured out or just deal with it. Thank you all.
