I lvoed Early Edition. That was one of the cooles shows ever. I also miss Fraggle Rock and Veritos. It was about people finding old treaure medallions and such. It was really good.
I'm really sad those shows are gone. They added so much to my life.

My favorite cancelled show was The Mullets. It was about two southern-bred middle-aged brothers named Dwayne and Denny Mullet. They lived with their rich mother and stepfather, and they always seemed to do something stupid which would rile their stepfather. The Mullets was only on TV for about a month. Anyone who didn't watch it really missed out!

I think the Mullets are coming back soon- correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall seeing that somewhere.

#1, by a long way, was Crossroads (original version). The two attempts recently to revive it were half hearted, and dragged the show so down market it was more like watching East Enders.
Then I agree with many of the others, all comedies,
Monty Python The young ones Seinfeld One foot in the grave Fawlty Towers
all really had more life left in them.
Luckily, two of my favourite quiz shows, Mastermind and University Challenge are back after being cancelled previously, but the third had two short revivals with different presenters, and went the same way as Crossroads when they messed about with it too much, and that was possibly the most entertaining of the lot...
Blockbusters. Now I'm dying for a P...
(note- non-British readers will have to work on finding an explanation for that bit).

Oooh, one of my favorite things to talk about. In fact, I talk about it so much that my friends will physically shut me up when I start on it.
By far, my favorite show of all time has to be Boomtown. It was an amazing show that NBC decided to kill by treating it awfully, even though it was beloved by critics. They moved it from Sunday to Friday for the second season (death!) which I'm actually afraid that FOX will do to Arrested Development (my new favorite show of all time).
Anyway, Boomtown was a show usually about a crime that took place at the beginning of the episode. Throughout the ep, you would see the POV of all of the 6 main characters (one at a time) and maybe the victim and/or criminal. Each time the POV shifted, a little more of the story would be revealed. It really was an art piece. I adored it, especially the amazing acting talents of Neal McDonough. He was great.
I also have to go with Glory Days (little seen, with Eddie Cahill and Poppy Montgomery), and Roswell, which my dad actually wrote the post-finale books for.

Boston Public. I absolutely loved that show and now it's just gone. I really hope they bring it back next season or sometime soon. Someone on this thread (forgive me I can't remember who!) mentioned Undeclared. I only saw it a few times but I thought it was absolutely hilarious! Quote:
One of the stars, "Nub", wrote to me! And, the production manager sent me a copy of their notebook (script, call sheets, background information, etc) and a prop from one of the shows. It's so cool to be watching the show and actually be holding the prop in my hand that's on the screen.
Care to share your secret of HOW you got the production manager to send you those things? I love memorabilia type stuff like that. If not, I understand.

My favorite was a show called "In A Heartbeat" that aired on the Disney channel a couple years ago. It got cancelled after only one or two seasons.

There are a few shows I miss really badly. "Special Unit 2", for instance; it was way too short, only two seasons (well, one and a half, actually)... but it was SUCH FUN!!! Then there's "The Lone Gunmen". I miss them even more than "The X-Files", although I used to be a huge fan of The X-Files. But I think they found the right moment to stop the show. And after all, there's video and DVD Same goes for "Buffy" - it's OK that it's over, because it really had an ending. SU2 and TLG didn't. I miss "Angel" here in Germany. I've been told the show wasn't canceled, but here in Germany they stopped airing it halfway through season 3 and they never continued. It's been almost a year now. I just hope they'll put it back on air! Whatever, this doesn't count as a cancelled show, right? I miss "Lois and Clark" and "Early Edition". And "Twin Peaks", of course. I stopped watching "Profiler" when Ally Walker left - does the series still exist? We currently have re-runs of the old episodes with Sam, and I'm getting re-hooked Oh, and "SeaQuest DSV".

Oh, I liked "The Lone Gunmen" too! It was so funny... I agree with you that I was glad X-Files ended when it did - it had had a good run and was becoming tired. But "Lone Gunmen" only had a few episodes!
I'm just sad that it seems like they don't bother giving shows a chance anymore...

Vicar of Dibley, Fraggle Rock, and Home Improvement are my favorites. Does anyone remember that Disney show Under the Umbrella Tree with the 3 puppets? Also, does anyone know what that weird Disney show was called, the one with the toys in the attic? There was no animation, or any kind of movement. You would see a still frame and hear a bit of dialogue, and then it would cut to the next still frame. There was one episode where the china doll went onto the rafters in the attic and almost fell. It was kind of morbid.

Spiderman I was very sad when they cancelled this. They were in the middle of a story. Spiderman was going to look for Mary Jane somewhere in a black hole thing. The last episode ever showed Spiderman riding on Madame Web's chair and she says, "Let's go find Mary Jane"...something like that. That's how it ended...I was incredibly sad. Fraggle Rock was great too!! I love the theme song!! frodobeh

"Under the Umbrella Tree" - This was Disney? I used to watch it on the Canadian channel when I was little... Just checked: It's a Canadian show that was apparently run on Disney. http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0302203/

Frodobeh, I also miss Spiderman. The scene you are talking about occured at the end of the Spider War's right. That was the one which had something to do with the Beyonder. I loved that show. I especially liked the episode where he went to the universe where he doesn't exist, but is only drawn in comic books. He meets Stan Lee there. I always assumed in the end he found Mary Jane.

eytank, yeah I think so. I liked that episode too...where Spiderman met Stan Lee. That was cool. If the show had kept going they probably would have found Mary Jane but...you know...I wanted to see it. OH well frodobeh

Definately "Mystery Science Theater 3000". Best. Show. Ever.
Also, a half hour comedy that ran for a couple seasons called "Doctor Doctor" starring Matt "Max Headroom" Frewer. I thought it was wildly hilarious!
