While searching for a song that goes 'The whole Town's talking about the Jones boy', I was also given both 'The whole town's talking' and 'Me and Mrs Jones'. Both were by Billy Paul, who recorded them about 30 years after the Mills brothers, who performed what was actually called just 'The Jones boy', despite the lyrics . Was this just a coincidence, or was he somehow inspired to write both tracks by the much earlier one? I very much doubt it, just one of those things I suspect.

Don't know. But, I do know that I now have that song "The whole town's talkin' about the Jones boy...." running through my mind! Doesn't help that it was on the radio the other day, so it was already fresh in my mind to begin with!
